Shampoo shield for adults - tested on humans

Why should adults use a shampoo screen?

I originally created a shampoo screen for adults because I had a need myself. When I started working more in-depth with the shampoo screen, I discovered that among older people there is also a great need to relieve the hair washing situation.

To understand the problem for people with dementia, one must realize that for a person with dementia, washing their hair is "new" every time. The person with dementia does not always fully understand what is going on and becomes insecure, reactive or resistant, making it impossible or very difficult to wash the person's hair.

As a relative, it is frustrating and unsatisfactory to witness that one's elderly mother or father's hair is not washed and that hygiene is not in order. I have heard from many in my circle of acquaintances and friends that they are in exactly that situation with their elderly mother, sister-in-law or the like. They feel really bad that their loved ones are not being cared for in terms of hair washing in the best way. We all know the wonderful feeling of cleanliness and well-being when we have had a shower and had our hair washed. We also want that for our dementia family members.

But also as a caregiver it is unsatisfactory not to be able to provide the best service and care that you really want. The caregiver wants to deliver a good job and be able to have a nice and good collaboration with the demented person. We all know the conditions for the care staff, who have to run stronger and stronger, and where time is an important factor.

The shampoo screen has been tested in several nursing homes, where staff and relatives have experienced a big change in terms of hair washing for dementia patients and the elderly with, for example, stiff necks. It makes a world of difference when hair can be washed without discomfort for some of the parties, and that is exactly what a shampoo screen for adults can mean. The screen is easy to adjust, can be washed manually, in the dishwasher, in a washing bag in the washing machine, is easy to handle and is very soft and comfortable for the user and caregiver - and can even be used with gloves on, if required.

During the testing process at several different nursing homes, I have received great feedback, criticism and knowledge that I have been able to use constructively in the development of a shampoo screen for adults into the finished product, which I as a manufacturer am very proud of. It is a fantastic feeling to be able to create an aid that can make such a big difference to people in a difficult situation.

I would really like to hear from those of you who know about the situation, so leave a comment if you have something on your mind.
