How to avoid your makeup from smudging
Posted by Litzy Thomsen on
You probably know it. You just need to wash your hair, you're going out on the town or you just want to look good without the big arm movements and without getting your makeup smeared... but then, even though you try to avoid getting water and shampoo in your eyes during the shower, it still runs down your face despite your efforts to avoid it. I've been in that situation many times myself and it annoyed me that I have to start over with my makeup. Dark circles around my eyes are the result.
I have sensitive eyes myself and can only tolerate make-up that doesn't contain various scratchy ingredients. That's why I always use organic make-up. Even though I use better quality make-up, I've always had problems during and after washing my hair, getting water/shampoo in my eyes and then repairing my make-up and afterwards having burning, watery and red eyes - and honestly, it doesn't look very good - and it's not very pleasant either!
I wondered why there wasn't some product that could help with this problem. There must be other women with similar experiences?
As is often the case, you don't always get to do more about it, even though the idea has arisen. But then fate would have it that my son starts to take a great interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, and that rubs off on me. He quietly nudges me in his wonderfully inspiring way to dare to start making a product myself that can prevent water and shampoo from getting on your face.
Uh, can I figure it out? What does it take? What does it require of me? And what if it can't be done? A lot of questions naturally arise, but now I'm hooked on the idea and want to try. It takes me a year and a half to develop, fine-tune and design a silicone screen. And it has to be silicone because it's so soft, flexible, durable and easy to clean.
It didn't always go as I hoped. There were many obstacles and uncertainties - and it was time-consuming and expensive to have prototypes made, etc. I also have my good regular job as a primary school teacher to look after. But finally Capzy was born.
The first time I tried it in the shower, I was trembling and afraid that it wouldn't work. Well, I jump in the shower with Capzy on my head. First I feel the water hit my hair, then my scalp, and right here I am expecting the water to run down my face - because it usually does... But it doesn't! IT WORKS! It's amazing. I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner. No problems.
There is nothing that can describe the feeling that comes after finding out that Capzy has passed the test. It's so cool!!! I'm just so happy.
No more blackheads and difficult hair washing :-)
